The Fever of Phineas

So my PC has an odd behavior. I almost never turn it off, but reboot once a week or so.

But when I’m out of town or for maintenance reasons or whatever, I need to turn it off. When I use the Start -> Turn Off Computer -> Turn Off, it does not actually shutdown, but in fact restarts. It’s like there is no way to cleanly shutdown, it always reboots, so I have to do hard shutdown, which is bad and gives me blue screen on eventual restart while it tries to sort out what happened.

Whatever.
