Hi David- if you’re going to Spain, and you’re planning on backpacking, you might consider accompanying yourself with one of my favorite books: As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning by Laurie Lee- it’s most likely out of print , but can usually be found for cheap online somewhere used. Also- the NYC hotel thing- got a link i have to find to send you from my friend Jules’ trip to NYC that ended with her reserved hotel room evaporating and her ending up in the least expensive and very cool (i.e. no heat that time of year) hotel run by british artists.. will send it along once i find it. - loved the ego-disi.d. writing and ended up having a great confab with my friend Lydia about ego-disi.d./negative capability and cocooning (one must eat well to build up fortitude, secure oneself a safe place/surround oneself with safe companions ,eschew the unnecessary outpouring of energies, “become complete liquid to allow for the transformation”, then the delicate and dangerous drying of the wings and flight to ???? . hope this finds you well and in good fettle.

Wow, thank you annie for the tips and comments. I’m mildly freaked out that anyone at all reads this foolish thing, but gratified as well.

Peace!
